The most dangerous city in Australia for women and children
More than 100 women and 15 children were treated in hospital after being attacked in Adelaide on Friday.
A woman who was allegedly assaulted on Adelaide’s main drag was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAS) where she later died.
RAS medical staff said the woman had been assaulted with a kitchen knife at the corner of Adelaide Street and Swanston Street.
The woman, who has not been named, was treated for minor injuries and released from hospital on Saturday morning.
She was last seen wearing a black tracksuit and white underwear, a blue jumper and white gloves.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
